Industrial Vehicle-Related Testing

In addition to consumer cars and trucks, ASI has automated over 50 different kinds of vehicles including:

  • Agricultural tractors from Deere, CNH, and Agco
  • Utility vehicles from Bobact, Kubota, and Polaris
  • Mining and construction vehicles from Caterpillar, Komatsu, and Terex
  • Multi-ton trucks from International, MAN, and Caterpillar

Often, these vehicles are actuated somewhat differently than consumer cars and trucks, with pneumatic, hydraulic, and OEM-built electric systems in place of mechanical linkages.  In these cases, ASI uses proven hydraulic and electric modules, or the OEM CAN protocol, in place of mechanical actuators to control the vehicle.  But the rest of the system, from the Vehicle Control Unit, to the GPS/IMU navigation, to the path planning algorithms and user software, remains the same.

ASI's systems are proven in harsh enviroments and on rugged off-road terrain.
